HCI Doubles Space with New Campus in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA: A southeast-area college has moved into a new facility, increasing its size to approximately 20,000 square feet, and adding class offerings in training and education for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Nursing students.
Health Career Institute, an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education that offers career training in Nursing, EMT, and Paramedic, increased its campus size from approximately 8,000 square feet to almost 20,000 square feet. This allows for new and larger classrooms, a new SIM Lab that provides lifelike human mannequins that stand-in for accident and trauma victims, a new EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Lab, and new Nursing Lab, a larger Library with expanded study space, a new Student Lounge with refreshments and complimentary coffee bar, interactive smart boards, and other enhanced technologies.
The new campus, located at 1201 W. Cypress Creek Road, will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:00 p.m. Friday April 26, 2019, and an Open House where the public is welcome to visit and explore the campus on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The new campus is part of a larger, overall plan to enhance core offerings and capabilities of the College. At HCI it is always our goal to do more. We want to do more for our students, staff and the communities we serve. This new location will help enhance the learning outcomes for our students, provide a fantastic working environment for our employees, and will help us provide more graduates to the community of Ft. Lauderdale, said Robert Bonds, HCI President & COO.
