BSN Degree Entrance
Like most college programs, you should already have obtained your high school diploma or your GED. Have proof of your graduation by submitting your transcripts for review.
If you have completed other college courses or have an ADN, you must submit those transcripts as well. Your previous college credits could be transferred into the program. The RN-to-BSN program at HCI requires that you already have an ADN before enrolling in the program.
For the RN-to-BSN degree, nurses should have proof of a current nursing license. You must meet active RN requirements for entrance into the program.
You also need to submit an entrance application and agreement. Pay the application fee and follow all of the directions on the application. Students also need to review the Nursing Handbooks for clinicals and labs.
RNs need to complete and submit a medical form as well. The form covers your general health, immunizations, medical history and required diagnostics to enroll in the nursing program. This is required for clinicals and lab work.
An entrance test called the Test of Essential of Academic Skills (TEAS) is required at HCI. If you haven’t earned your ADN yet and need to enroll in the associates program first, then you will need to take this exam.
Potential students also need to have a complete background check and drug testing done before enrollment.
