- Doctors Office – In a doctors office, nurses help physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
- Community Centers – Ambulatory care nurses are used in community centers to research how to educate patients in these centers. In addition, they also coordinate events or programs, and advocate.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the average salary of a nurse is about $64,600 annually. As with all careers, salary will be dependent on location, education and experience. A nurse who is looking to make more money may want to consider going for a BSN or MSN program.
